Success Doesn't Stop at the Whistle

For Selah High School athletes, success doesn’t stop at the whistle. Whether competing on the field, court, track, mat, or course, Viking student-athletes have proven they excel everywhere—including the classroom.

By combining outstanding academic achievement, athletic success, and sportsmanship throughout the fall, winter, and spring seasons, Selah High School's collective varsity athletic programs finished 5th out of 59 2A schools statewide in the 2025-26 Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) Scholastic Cup.

The WIAA Scholastic Cup recognizes schools whose student-athletes demonstrate excellence in athletics, academics, and sportsmanship. Schools earn points for success in state athletic competition and outstanding team academic performance, while sportsmanship also plays an important role in the overall standings, with points deducted for contest ejections. At the end of the year, the school with the most points in their respective classification is awarded the prestigious Scholastic Cup!

This recognition reflects the dedication of our student-athletes, the leadership of our coaches, the support of our families, and the commitment of our staff to developing well-rounded students who strive for excellence in everything they do.
