District to Implement ParentSquare Communication Tool
We are excited to announce that the Selah School District has adopted a new centralized form of school-to-home communication called ParentSquare beginning this upcoming school year. This unified communications platform is designed to keep parents and guardians informed and encourage greater engagement and connection with our district and schools. It provides a safe way for district administrators, school principals, teachers, staff, coaches and parents to:
- Receive District information and announcements
- Send and receive school and class information
- Share pictures and files
- See calendar items
- Sign up to volunteer
- Schedule parent-teacher conferences
- and much more . . . all in one centralized place!
With ParentSquare all district and school, grade level and classroom information will now be sent to a computer or phone via email and/or text. For even more convenience, individuals will be able to download the ParentSquare app (available for free for iOS and Android devices).
Parents will soon receive an invitation email or text to join ParentSquare. Please click the link to activate your account. It takes less than a minute. Additionally, as we transition to the ParentSquare platform, the District will provide a variety of resources to ensure an effective launch, including providing training videos, flyers and more. In fact, please see an introductory slide show here.
Our goal is for every family to join ParentSquare and engage with our school community. We are very excited about rolling-out ParentSquare this upcoming fall and look forward to the communication benefits of the platform.
