Scribner Named John Campbell Principal
It’s been a busy summer in the Selah School District as movement among administrators continues.
The most recent movement comes at John Campbell Primary School where Amanda Scribner will serve as the building’s Principal. Scribner takes the helm at the campus after Rob Darling was hired as a Central Office administrator at a neighboring school district.
Prior to Scribner’s selection as Principal, she was named last spring as the Principal of the new Robert Lince Kindergarten, where her role this year was to be involved with planning and developmental discussions regarding the new campus, but also serve in her role as Assistant Principal and Dean of Students at John Campbell.
With Scribner’s selection as the John Campbell Principal, Cesar Ortiz will now assume Assistant Principal duties at the campus. Ortiz has served the last two years as an Assistant Principal and Dean of Students at Selah Intermediate School.
Rounding out the John Campbell administrative team, is Melissa Singletary, who was selected earlier this summer as an Assistant Principal at the school, replacing Tami Turner.
As the District now looks to fill the Robert Lince Kindergarten principalship as well as an assistant principal at Selah Intermediate, here is a recap of the other administrative announcements reported earlier this summer:
Stephanie Ander has been named the District’s Director of Federal and State Programs. A six-year veteran of the Selah School District Andler had been serving as an Assistant Principal at John Campbell Primary.
Selah Intermediate School welcomes Hunter Sissom as its Building Principal. Sissom, who is returning to his Yakima Valley roots, has served as an Assistant Principal in the Bellevue School District for the last three years.
Jeff Cochran has been hired to serve as an Assistant Principal/Director of Future Learning at Selah High School. Cochran most recently served as a Director of Innovative and Alternative Education in the Ellensburg School District.
