The Search is On! High School Juniors and Seniors this Jobs Workshop is for You!
The Yakima Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) has partnered with the Selah School District to launch a new pilot project to help prepare junior and senior high school students, as well as entry-level workers, for their upcoming job search.
This daylong event will be held at Selah High School on Saturday, February 9, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and will feature keynote speakers and breakout sessions addressing critical job skills, such as how to prepare for a job interview and participating in a mock interview. This is a FREE event that is open to ANYONE interested in developing their job acquisition skills. Those interested in attending this event can register at https://bit.ly/2CNy3Gt.
What a great way to help prepare the next generation for the job market!
Also, Selah High School seniors can earn community service hours toward graduation by helping set-up or clean-up at the event.
If you have any questions about the event, please contact Chris Miller, Selah School District Human Resources Assistant Specialist at firstname.lastname@example.org.
