Edgardo De La torre Honored with State Award!

As we countdown the days to a new school year, we continue to have good news to share about Selah School District staff!

Congratulations to Edgardo De La torre, the District’s Migrant Family Services Coordinator, as he recently received a state-level honor from the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) for his work!  Edgardo has been recognized with the Washington State Migrant Education Program Migrant Student Advocate of the Year Award.

In receiving the honor, Edgardo was recognized for his dedication and commitment to the education of migrant children and helping them achieve their academic goals.  In the Selah School District, Edgardo has been instrumental in helping grow the Migrant Program and works with families and students providing services and opportunities which assist them in maximizing their educational experiences. 

Congratulations Edgardo!  We appreciate your impact on our Selah families!
