It's All Roses for SHS FFA Students!

The Team will Advance to the National Event this Fall!

It came up roses for the Selah High School FFA Horse Evaluation Team as it made its way to the winner’s circle to earn first place honors at the Washington State FFA State Horse Evaluation event.  As state champions, Selah’s team will represent Washington at the national event in Indianapolis, Indiana this upcoming fall.  Selah's team members are: Miranda Bellotti, Natalee Barnett, Isaballa Hovorka, Gaby Felix, Caitline Strand and Morgan Herrud.

Participation in FFA’s Horse Evaluation helps members further develop their interest in equine selection, management and production, while simultaneously advancing teamwork, leadership and communication skills.  Members demonstrate their ability to reason and communicate about equine science through a team problem-solving activity and individually evaluating classes composed of performance or halter horses.  They then justify their selections through oral reasons.

Congratulations FFA students!
