Selah High School junior, Daniel Herrera, is ready to serve as he has been selected as the new student representative on the Selah School District Board of Directors.
Herrera joins senior, Hannah Weeks, who is serving her second year on the Board. Herrera wanted to serve the Board as a student representative in order to be involved in the District where he attends school. In addition to his role as a Board representative, Herrera is family oriented, works and has participated in athletics.
The role of the high school representatives is to provide student insight and perspective to the Board of Directors and District administration, while serving as a liaison between the Board and the student body. Student representatives began serving on the Selah School Board in 2010.
