Natalie Keller has her Voice Heard at State Competition
Freshman Finishes Fifth at State Voice of Democracy Competition
Selah High School freshmen, Natalie Keller continued to speak loud and clear as she had her voice heard at the State Voice of Democracy competition in January.
Earning a fifth place finish at the contest, Keller was the lone underclassman to place at the state level with all other award-winners being seniors. With her placing, Keller earned a scholarship and plaque.
Keller earned the opportunity to compete at the state competition after receiving first place honors in both the Area and District level Voice of Democracy contests. As part of the initial competition, Keller, wrote and delivered a five-minute patriotic speech centered on the theme of What Makes America Great. In subsequent competitions, Keller has been delivering her speech.
