Collecting for a Cause!

John Campbell Primary students have been collecting for a cause as they have spearheaded a food drive in honor of local Veterans.

Throughout the month of November, students and staff showed their appreciation for military personnel by collecting food items to donate to the Freedom Pantry for Veterans.  As food accumulated during the month, the school amassed 4,335 items for donation.  A united mission by all John Campbell students and staff, the classes at each grade level collecting the most items included Mrs. LaTour’s kindergarten class, Mr. Gonzalez’ first grade students, and Mrs. Carrasco’s second graders.

Food drive organizer, Rhonda Gonazales, said the donation to the Freedom Pantry is a way to recognize our Veterans and thank them for their service and protection of our country so we may experience what it is to be free.

Thank you to John Campbell students and staff for collecting for a cause and supporting our Veterans!
