It's a "Gnome" Fact that Bus Driver Kim Noyola Positively Impacts Kids!
It's always been a "gnome" fact that Selah School District bus driver, Kim Noyola, positively impacts kids. Now, Kim has been recognized for her dedicated contributions and service.
Come rain or shine, each day Kim hits the road with student bus riders as she safely transports them to and from school. Now, Kim has been recognized by the Selah Downtown Association as August's Gnominee for Citizen of the Month.
In receiving the Gnomination, Kim was recognized for her service to Selah students, schools and the community. Here’s why: In the time of the pandemic when there was uncertainty about going to school, and transporting students each day was challenging because of a shortage of bus drivers, Kim remained consistent. As the first District contact with students in the morning, Kim flashed her welcoming smile as riders boarded her bus and offered kind words to make sure that the start to every child’s day was positive. As explained in the Gnomination, “There were numerous times when kids did not want to be on the bus and Kim resolved their anxieties without the added pressure on parents.” It was also further explained that Kim was the perfect beginning to the day for each child who was lucky to be on her bus route and was a wonderful example of what it means to be #SelahStrong.
Congratulations to Kim Noyola and her Selah Gnomination! It's always been a "gnome" fact that Kim has positively impacted students!
