Selah Middle School Students Have the "Write" Stuff!
Hannah Rees and Natalie Keller Honored
Two Selah Middle School students have the "write" stuff as they were recently honored for the power behind their pen.
Seventh grade student, Hannah Rees, and eighth grader, Natalie Keller, were honored by the Yakima Veterans of Foreign Wars for their work in this year's Patriots Pen Scholarship Essay Competition. Both students received recognition for their essays, which answered Why I Honor the American Flag.
Rees earned second place honors for her written work, while Keller placed first in her division. Both students were awarded a certificate and scholarship prize. Keller's winning essay is now submitted in the Washington State Regional Competition.
Congratulations to Hannah Rees and Natalie Keller for having the “write” stuff!
