Service Well Done!

Thank You Jamie Morford for Your Board Service!

Taking his seat one final time on November 13, Selah School District Board of Directors Vice President Jamie Morford brought to a close 12 years of dedicated board service.

Jamie has served the District as a board member since 2013, representing Position 1, the At Large District. Most recently, he has represented the Board for multiple terms as Vice President.

During his Board tenure, Jamie was an advocate for Selah Schools, its students and the community. His focus consistently centered on what was best for student learning, safety, and the well-being of Selah families and the greater community. Guided by composed steadiness and stabilizing presence, Jamie’s principles placed student needs first, promoted safe and secure facilities, supported programs that enhanced academic growth and positive educational opportunities, and emphasized giving back to the community of Selah. A Viking through and through, Jamie frequently attended events and activities important to students and their families and was a proud champion of Selah achievements. During his time on the Board, Jamie also played a role in the passing of two school bonds and five learning levies.

The District thanks Jamie Morford for more than a decade of dedicated service to the Board and Selah schools. Students, staff and the community have all benefited from his commitment, leadership and contributions. Truly, service well done!
