Run With the Vikings
Laces Tightened, Spirits High: Selah Intermediate Students Dash in the Run with the Vikings!
Recently at Selah Intermediate School, the sound of pounding feet and cheering filled the crisp air as students tightened their running shoes for the much-anticipated Run with the Vikings fun run event. Teaming up with the Selah High School Boys’ Cross-Country Team, this annual tradition is more than just a race — it’s a celebration of camaraderie, fitness, and Viking spirit!
The fun run isn’t just about clocking miles and recording race times; it’s about encouraging healthy habits, building connections between the intermediate students and high school runners, and inspiring students to keep running as a healthy activity for life. Event coordinator and PE teacher Jennifer Quigley shared her excitement as over 840 students laced up to run under the perfect racing temperatures and hit the course during their specialist class times.
Curious who crossed the finish line first? Stay tuned! Top times by grade level will be revealed Friday at the all-school assembly. But here’s the truth — at Run with the Vikings, every runner is a winner!
Thank you to everyone who worked to make the Run with the Vikings another success!
