• It seems so insignificant to say that Benny Thomas is just a dog

For the past six years, Benny Thomas has been a part of the Selah Middle School educational team as its certified therapy dog.  As the school’s unofficial mascot, Benny has touched all of our hearts, and because of his gentle demeanor and unconditional support, we loved him.

Because of a serious health issue, Benny will not be returning to school.  To commemorate his service to Selah Middle School, and celebrate the love we had for him, we would like to honor his loyal and loving work on campus.

We are currently accepting donations so we can purchase a tree and plaque to place in Benny’s favorite spot where he would lay.  These mementos will remind us that Benny is always at his post, always with us. Any funds remaining after the tree and plant purchases will be used to offset the training of the school’s new therapy dog.

If you have any questions, please contact Selah Middle School at 698-8400.
