Thank You Student Representatives

January is School Board Recognition Month and we celebrate our four student representatives on the District’s Board of Directors: senior two-year members, Addison Flowers and Lauren Rice, and juniors, Charlee Miller and Clare Richards. We thank them for their contributions to help build the future of public education!

The role of the high school board representatives is to act as a liaison between students and the Board. Student representatives provide insight and perspective to the Board of Directors and District administration, essentially serving as a conduit for student feedback to the Board. As non-voting members, student representatives began serving the Selah School Board in 2010.

“I want to thank Addison, Lauren, Charlee and Clare for their student service to the Board,” said Superintendent, Kevin McKay. “They are exceptional young leaders who provide direct insight and a voice to the Board about what is important to students and their educational needs.”

Thank you, Addison, Lauren, Charlee and Clare, for your Board service as you help build the future of public education!
