Thank You Selah School Board!
January is School Board Recognition Month!
Although we always appreciate their service, School Board Recognition Month is a time to say “Thank You” to Selah's board members and celebrate the crucial role they plan in ensuring the vitality of our school system.
Selah’s five-person governing team is part of Washington’s 1,477 school board members, plus those who serve on the nine educational service district boards. In Selah, the School Board consists of: Dan Peters, President; Jamie Morford, Vice President; Derek Iverson, Legislative Representative; Sarah Michael, Board Member; and Joe Catron, Board Member.
“I want to thank our Selah School Board members for their service and for the leadership they provide our district and community,” said Superintendent, Kevin McKay. “Our Board’s tireless and unselfish work is driven by what is best for our students, families, staff, and the community, and directly reflects the strength and stability of our school and town."
Please look forward to the last week of January when we celebrate each member and learn more about the core roles of the school board.
Thank you, Selah School Board members! You are appreciated!
