A Fiesta of Fun at John Campbell!

John Campbell Students and Staff Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month!

It was a fiesta of fun at John Campbell Primary School, and the energy electric and colorful, as students and staff came together to celebrate the grand finale of National Hispanic Heritage Month! Every year, from September 15 to October 15, a spotlight shines bright on the rich culture, incredible achievements, and powerful contributions of Hispanic Americans — honoring the culture, stories, talents, achievements and history that have helped shape our world.

The celebration kicked off with second grade students taking center stage to recognize some truly inspiring Hispanic legends! With big smiles and even bigger voices, students shared fascinating facts about their chosen figures — flipping seamlessly between English and Spanish like dual language speaking professionals. Next up, the first graders dazzled the crowd with a spirited cultural dance, showing off moves they’d been perfecting during recess and at home for weeks to make sure every step was just right. The whole school joined in the fun with a rousing sing-along of the Viking Pride song, belting out the lyrics in both English and Spanish. And to top it all off, a few lucky students walked away with colorful Spanish read-along books, adding a little extra magic to the fiesta!

John Campbell Primary is proud to be a dual language school and from start to finish, it was a fiesta full of fun, laughter, and learning for students!
