Big Discoveries for Little Learners!
It’s was a week full of discovery and future possibilities at Robert Lince, as kindergarten students had an adventure exploring exciting opportunities during Career Week!
Students were recently introduced to a variety of careers through hands-on, engaging experiences.
Kicking off the week was a visit from the Selah Police Department, giving students an up-close look at patrol cars and gear while sharing how they help keep our community safe.
Young imaginations came to life when resident author Jolee Custer engaged with students, showing them how authors turn ideas into stories. Together, they even created a story of their own!
Exploring other careers students learned the techniques of a hair dresser, learned what it was like to work as an RV parts manager, saw all the right moves from a dance instructor, and learned what it is like to work on a ranch and care for livestock.
One of the week’s biggest highlights was a visit from dog trainer Ryan Fortier. Students were thrilled as they watched dogs respond to commands, learned about the skills needed for dog training, and enjoyed some extra-special cuddle time snuggling the adorable puppies.
Career Week at Robert Lince has sparked curiosity, inspired creativity, and introduced our little learners to the many possibilities their futures can hold. Who knows—future officers, authors, or dog trainers may already be walking our halls!
