At the Heart of What We Do!

Our Selah School District students and families are at the heart of everything we do. That is why our District’s Migrant Education Program has once again partnered with OIC of Yakima to ensure families have the food they need—so students can focus on learning and thriving in the classroom.

Rain, snow, wind, or shine—every other Thursday, identified families receive a box of food items generously donated by OIC partners. Families are identified through the District’s Migrant Education being families needing support, as McKinney Vento students, or by other indicators of need within the school community.

This meaningful partnership between Selah School District and OIC is making a real difference for many families and will continue through the end of the school year.

This is just one example of how the District, alongside dedicated community partners, are working to support the well-being of our students and families.

Thank you to everyone who continues to make this opportunity possible for our Selah community!
