The Qmlativ Migration

Skyward Qmlativ is the latest iteration of Skyward SMS, and the information system the Selah School District uses for data management of student, staff, and financial information, grades, scheduling, attendance, and all business services.  Skyward SMS allows for the creation of reports our schools and departments rely on, while also offering important internal uses like payroll, tracking time off, billing and invoice payments, as well as numerous other uses.  Nearly every staff member of the Selah School District utilizes this system as part of their work each day, and some staff members in our school offices and central office use the tool multiple times per day.

The actual transition to Skyward Qmlativ began in 2025 as now we prepare for an August 2026 launch.  Skyward SMS is being phased out for Skyward Qmlativ, requiring the District to migrate clean, high quality, and accurate data. Multiple departments in the District Office have conducted regular meetings, begun data preparations and training for the new system.

The excitement is building for the advantages this new system provides and after its "dark days" period, the new Skyward Qmlativ is expected to go live on Monday, August 3, 2026.

As an employee once you login to Employee Access, you can:

• View and print personal employment information
• Make changes to certain areas of your personal information

You can access Skyward Qmlativ from any district computer or by visiting here.  Your login and password remain the same as they were in the previous system. If you do not currently have a login and password, or if you need help accessing the system, please contact:

Users that have not installed the Skyward Mobile App can do so through the App Store on their device. Users with the Skyward Mobile App currently installed on a device should follow the instructions below to remove the account that was associated with an SMS account and add in an account associated with Skyward Qmlativ. Click here for a reference sheet on how to download and configure the app.

We are excited as you navigate the new Skyward Qmlativ platform. As a parent or guardian of a student in the District, their are two important things you can do at your earliest convenience:

• Make sure your student’s health and contact information is accurate and current.
• Check Skyward Family Access and make sure your contact and emergency contact information is accurate and up-to-date.

If you have any questions, please contact your school’s registrar.

For now, there are no changes. From July 1-July 31, Skyward SMS will go dark as the database goes through the data migration tool. During this time, Skyward SMS will be inaccessible to everyone, except those on the Qmlativ migration team. When Skyward Qmlativ is launched, the parent/guardian experience should be seamless, with information available to parents/guardians just as before, existing within a new interface and platform. As you navigate the updated system, please contact your school registrar with questions.

No, you will not need a new login or password. Your existing Skyward Family Access credentials will carry over to the new Skyward Qmlativ system. Once Skyward Qmlativ is live, you will use the same username and password to login—just through a new interface. Instructions and updated login links will be provided closer to the launch to help make the transition smooth.
