A Masking Update from Superintendent Backlund
School Mask Mandate Lifting on March 21
As you may have already heard, earlier this afternoon, Governor Jay Inslee announced the end of the mask mandate in schools beginning on Monday, March 21. This means that on this date, although masks will be encouraged, parents will have the option to choose whether or not their children wear masks in school buildings. Read more here.

Pandemic EBT (P-EBT) benefits are now available to eligible students in the Selah School District. P-EBT is money for food for meals students missed at school during the school day because of the pandemic. Benefits are available to students who are eligible for free or reduced-price school meals AND enrolled in our school district.

Working for the earth, Jamie Newell’s fourth grade class and Marie Smith’s fifth grade students' recent recycling project has helped Selah Intermediate receive the special designation of being certified as an EarthGen School.Â
