SMS FCCLA Students Win Gold and are Headed to Nationals!

Selah Middle School Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) students hit gold at the recent state conference, but will be seeing green as they advance to the national event this summer!

Congratulations to Olivia EismannAddyson GamacheLeah Richards, and Sarah Richards, as they advance to July’s National FCCLA Conference in Seattle, the Northwest’s Emerald City.

SHS FCCLA Students to Compete at Nationals!

Selah High School FCCLA students are headed over the mountains toward the Emerald City this summer as they pack their bags for Seattle and the National Conference.

After representing Selah at the State Conference earlier in March, Parker Casey, Gigi Gamache, Miley Maybee and the team of Charlee Miller and Clare Richards, all earned gold medal recognition, first place honors, and the top overall scores in their respective STAR presentation events, and will advance to compete on the national stage in July.  Also headed to compete at nationals is the 5-student FCCLA LifeSmarts Knowledge Bowl team of Hannah Christianson, Indiana Hilmes, Macie Ladd, Hannah Rees, and Phoebe Topper.  This team will defend Selah’s national championship after already qualifying earlier this year. 

Mike Archer to be Inducted into Legion Hall of Fame!

Selah’s own Mr. Baseball, Mike Archer, has hit another home run! After leading the Yakima Valley Pepsi Pak for 40 seasons, Archer will be inducted into the Washington State American Legion Baseball Hall of Fame in October.
