Student Enrollment

Selah School District is now accepting new student enrollments online. If you are unable to enroll online, please contact or visit one of Selah’s schools to complete in person. 

Note: Preschool and Kindergarten enrollment opened March 7th for the 2023-2024 school year. Enrollment for grades 1st through 12th will open on July 17th. Kindergarteners must be 5 years of age by August 31, 2023 to be eligible for enrollment.

Step 1: Gather Required Documents

You will need to upload the following information to register your child for school: 

• Proof of Age & Name: All children must be at least 5 years old by Aug. 31 of the current school year. Please upload a document verifying the age and name of the student. This may be a birth certificate, hospital certificate, adoption record, affidavit from a parent, passport, previously verified school records, or any other documents permitted by law that shows date of birth and name. 

• Proof of Residence: You may provide a utility bill or statement (water, electrical, garbage), rental/lease statement, or proof of home ownership (including a mortgage statement).

• Immunization Records: Immunizations must be current. Children that do not have the required immunizations prior to the first day of school will not be allowed to attend. Please make sure to get these required immunizations to ensure your student does not miss out on essential instruction.

Step 2: Enroll Online (New Selah Students Only) 

Please select one of the options below for the steps to enroll your new student. 

• New Families have no current/existing students in our Selah Schools. 

• Existing Families have other children attending our Selah Schools. 

Online Enrollment for New Families 

To begin the enrollment process, you will first need to create an account on Skyward. After creating your new account, you will be sent an email with a link to begin the enrollment process. This email will contain your username and temporary password to login to our Skyward Family Access page. If you do not receive this email, please check your spam folder. 

The enrollment process will guide you through several sections. Make sure to gather required documents and information prior to beginning online enrollment.

Once you have completed the enrollment forms online, they will be sent to your child's home school for review. If we need additional information, we will contact you.

Online Enrollment for Existing Families

To enroll a new student, you will login to your Skyward Family Access account. If you do not have your Family Access login credentials (username and password), please contact your child's school and leave a voicemail. Someone will get back to you shortly to help you with this request.

Step 3: Get Ready For School! 

Once you've received confirmation of enrollment, it's time to start getting ready (and excited) for the start of school. Here's a checklist to help you prepare: 

1. Review the skills your child should be prepared with before starting kindergarten to maximize their success in school. 

2. Like & Follow us on social media to stay engaged and informed.

3. Review our Academic Calendars --- Plan vacations and regular medical/dental visits during breaks to limit your child's time away from class. 

4. Pay your fees or outstanding fines online. ( ASB, library book fine, etc.) 

5. Register for SHS fall sports – Selah High School Only
