As we begin a new school year, the Selah School District is making a special effort to ensure that all students fully benefit from their education by attending school regularly. Attending school regularly helps children feel better about school and themselves.

Family, Career and Community Leaders of America, FCCLA, is a student leadership organization that focuses on family, careers and community service. Student members can complete projects and compete with them in STAR events

Working to connect students to health, well-being, and people, Selah High School teacher, Heather Gamache, has been recognized as the Washington Health Sciences Career and Technical Education (HSCTE) New Teacher of the Year.

With an eye on safety, John Campbell Primary School assistant principal, Cesar Ortiz, always has an eye on student and staff well-being. So, as the safety lead for the John Campbell campus, it is only fitting that Cesar be honored with the annual Sheriff Brian Winter School Safety Award.Â

LifeSmarts Team Headed to Nationals!
Congratulations to the five-member Selah High School Lady Viking LifeSmarts Knowledge Bowl Team! After dominating the state’s competition and earning first place honors, they will test themselves against the nation’s best during the national contest later this spring in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Musicians from the Selah High School band recently played music to the ears and earned superior ratings from the WVMEA Band Adjudication contest.
